Waterlase Laser Dentistry
Crane Family Dentistry employs cutting-edge technology, including the use of dental lasers, to address the oral health needs of our patients. Using laser energy and water spray, our new Biolase Waterlase system can perform many procedures without a shot or a drill. This allows us to treat a variety of common dental conditions in a gentle, minimally invasive way.

RAPID Endo
Waterlase lasers effectively fight endodontic infection and can perform disinfection and cleaning, open dentinal tubules, decontamination prior to obturation, pulpotomy and pulp extirpation, and smear layer removal in the canal.
Gingivectomy
The procedure involves removing and reshaping loose, diseased gum tissue to get rid of pockets between the teeth and gums. By removing the pocket walls, gingivectomy provides visibility and accessibility to remove calculus and thoroughly smooth the tooth roots.
Crown Lengthening
Crown lengthening is an oral surgery treatment that involves removing excess gum tissue, and possibly some bone, around the upper teeth to make them look longer.
Biopsy
Optimum for infection and quality control, lasers help manage the operative site during a biopsy. This technique produces a bandage over the wound and minimal postoperative discomfort is experienced by the patient.
Apicoectomy
In this procedure, the endodontist opens the gum tissue near the tooth to see the underlying bone and to remove any inflamed or infected tissue. The very end of the root is also removed.
Class V
Waterlase is indicated for class I-VI cavity preparation, making it a fantastic alternative to traditional tools like drills, scalpels and needles.
